Export Realisation Date Calculator

In shortChoose goods or services, enter the shipment date or invoice date, and the calculator shows the date by which export proceeds must be realised and, for services, the monthly EDF due date.

How it is calculated

Under the Export and Import of Goods and Services Regulations, 2026, in force from 1 October 2026, export proceeds are generally to be realised within nine months of the date of shipment (goods) or the invoice date (services), or twelve months where the export is invoiced or settled in rupees. Banks can extend the period on request.

Service exporters file the Export Declaration Form within 30 days of the end of the month in which the invoice was raised. This tool shows the standard periods only. Read the full article: FEMA export-import regulations 2026.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to realise export proceeds?

Generally nine months from shipment for goods or from the invoice date for services, and twelve months for exports invoiced or settled in rupees, with extensions possible through your bank.

What if the shipment was before 5 June 2026?

An earlier amendment allowed a longer 15-month window for a period before 5 June 2026, so confirm the applicable period for older shipments with your authorised dealer bank.
