What we do
Return filing
Returns for salaried individuals, business and professional income, capital gains, rental income, foreign income and assets, HUFs, firms, LLPs and companies, reconciled with the Annual Information Statement and tax credit statements before filing.
Tax planning and regime choice
Old versus new regime comparison for individuals and HUFs, deduction and investment planning, and structuring advice for business owners and professionals.
Advance tax, TDS and TCS
Advance tax computation and payment, review of TDS and TCS deduction and deposit, and preparation of statements so that interest and late fees are avoided.

Capital gains and ESOPs
Tax on the sale of property, shares, mutual funds and employee stock options, including holding periods, exemptions and reinvestment timelines.
NRI and cross-border income
Residential status, taxation of Indian income, treaty (DTAA) relief, tax on property sales by non-residents and disclosure of foreign assets.
Refunds and credit reconciliation
Tracking pending refunds, correcting TDS credit mismatches and following up with deductors.

Frequently asked questions
Which law applies to my return this year?
Income earned up to 31 March 2026 (FY 2025-26, assessed in AY 2026-27) remains under the Income-tax Act, 1961. Income earned from 1 April 2026 falls under the Income-tax Act, 2025, which uses a single "tax year" instead of previous year and assessment year.
Who needs to file an income tax return?
Anyone whose total income exceeds the basic exemption limit under the regime they follow must file. Some people must file even below that limit, for example when they hold foreign assets, make large deposits or expenditure above specified thresholds, or want to claim a refund. We confirm this from your documents.
Should I choose the old or the new tax regime?
The new regime is the default for individuals and HUFs and the old regime applies only if you opt for it. The better choice depends on your deductions and exemptions, so we compute both before filing.
What should I do if I receive an income tax notice?
Do not ignore it. Note the section quoted, the date of the notice and the response deadline, and gather the documents it refers to. Missing the deadline can mean a best-judgment assessment or a penalty, so an early, documented response matters more than a perfect one.
Can NRIs file their Indian returns through you from abroad?
Yes. Documents are shared digitally, and we handle residential status, treaty relief and disclosures. If a matter needs a Chartered Accountant's certificate, PSP & Associates issues it.
Who signs a tax audit report?
A tax audit report can only be signed by a practising Chartered Accountant. That is done by PSP & Associates, our separate affiliate CA firm. PSP Consultancy supports with books, schedules and coordination.
